Furthermore, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and 4 eatery’s. There are several other popular Iowa casinos, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a paddle wheel boat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa water based gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open never closes, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot riverboat gambling den in Clinton, has 506 one armed bandits, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday twenty-one matches.
Iowa casinos provide an excellent deal of tax revenue to the state government of Iowa, which has permitted the budgeting of a good many state wide activities. Tourism has grown at a fast percentage accompanied with the demand for processors and a gain in employment. Iowa gambling halls have been helpful to the expansion of the market, and the enthusiasm for gambling in Iowa is widespread.
